he paints her as he would sunrise

catching light shining within

in golden hues, silken skin

is softer still, with a trace

whispering of clouds of lace

With warmth and grace, his work of art

wraps bright sunbeams around his heart

soft yet bold with just a blush

of gentle fire from his brush

rising in his sky of blue

in her beauty all is new

And in the chill of darkened skies

he looks to her, she is sunrise

painting dreams in colors of

his passion,  as from above

she fills shadows of the night

fading gently in her light
