 Love…

To lay my head a moment ‘pon his chest

a serenade of two hearts intertwined

that takes us far above the restless night

where only heaven waits, we move as one

I’ll count the stars reflection in his eyes

and  know each wish was only that for love

Each breath between us sweet

oh precious one…

hold me close as midnight sheds her dew

To wake to pale white lilies standing tall

and buds upon the vine glistening dawn

to catch each falling tear, this pearly morn

as soft as silk yet warm, as he is near

then join him half-awake veiled in our dream

where wishes still shine true in loving eyes…

Julie,
I don't know where to begin. If I say this is the most beautiful poem of love between a man and a woman, I would not be exagerating.
You have a gift young lady. Your writing inspires a bountiful garden of full flowers with soft colors and petals. I truly am in awe of your writing.
Peace,
Richie b.

Masterpiece.
I wanted to write only the word written above but the comment needed 25 characters to agree upon submission.
Thank you for writing such grace.

Half awake would be a substantial improvement.

You should grace this place more with your presence. Jerk face.

Lovely poetry of love and kindness of the heart.

Very beautiful sentiments. Nobody writes sensual emotions and love lyrics like you.
being in love is the most wonderful feeling and the only way to to truly understand the
emotion you write about.

So nice to read you.
