Just As You Left Me

Just As You Left Me

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic scribble ~

"

It is just as you left it…

this shore on which I wait

watching the ocean, in colors of your eyes,

                 rising

                             as my whole heart rises

                                       blue as my reflection

though waves of passion still find me in red

                 blushing…

           naked to your breath

surrounded only by the echo of the wind,

stirring the storm that whispers of clouds,

                        some colored with hope

wishing…dreaming

                              you will uncover me

among the seashells and treasures lost

but found again

                                        just as you left me…

watching the ocean, in colors of your eyes

I would say one of the treasures lost and found again is this poem. This was completely enchanting, as hypnotic as the waves in constant motion caressing the waiting shoreline. This poem was absolutely beautiful.

I have missed reading your "scribbles" Julie, your longing and sad romantic poems too... your poems are "treasures", pouring from your pen and found by us to read and listening to "the echo of the wind"... it's nice to read you again Julie..

Soft as velvet, the romance in your words is so beautiful. The fact it was all set on the beach makes it even better. Wonderful work, Julie. Lydi**

"watching the ocean, in colors of your eyes... " my fav. line.
Sounds very astounding and breathtaking to read how ev'n the world - the whole potion of ocean - goes resided to blue eyes. Your thoughts're nicely painted on the words. Seemed, one love over the night and in the beginning of morn, ...left things behind with some tender waves of love which got ya saying: Just As You Left Me .. sounds quite deep, may be, it's what that happens right in wee seconds of numbness. very deep poetry!

So nice to read your verse again, it's been a while. My wife was hospitalized again, came home tomorrow and I'm trying to get my read requests caught up. I happened to notice this one reviewed by another and am delighted to again enjoy your beautiful writing once again. I hope that you are well, nice to "see" you again. take care...dan
