Blue Dawn

Blue Dawn

A Poem by MsJewel

~ a romantic poem written in lai form ~

~~~
Quiet is the night
weaving pale moonlight
the hue
soft and oh so slight
sets my dreams in flight
of you
hold me ‘til dawn’s light
takes you from my sight
in blue
When the falling dew
sweeps the day anew
I’ll don
a dress of bright hue
a smile though not true
and on
a vision of you
I’ll find my way through
Blue Dawn
~~~

See.. there you go again.
Being the consummate poet.
If this wasn't so dam good
I would say you were showing off....

But it is just too dam good.
You are amazing.
And this poem shows it in every line.
Crystal Blue perfection.

~ Another excellent poem Julie. The way you weave the words so naturally is always impressive. Believe it or not, you are the only poetess I've ever read that can make me smell flowers. No joke. ~

wonderful poem Julie, an interesting form I never heard of before and you wrote it beautifully as always, would be nice to try this but I'm not good with forms of poetry, guess I'm just too rough at this stuff :)

Wow. To have studied this form of poetry and be able to write such a beautiful poem, you put your work into this one and were successful. Maybe someday I will be able to study the forms of poverty as this.

Such a gorgeous write, Julie...onceloved has already said what I was thinking: you have such a wonderful touch with the pen and everything you write is pure artistry - the perfect marriage between a giving muse and wonderful pen... and the sentiment you capture here is just beautifully written: your true self comes out at night, and when the dream has ended with the coming dawn, the fake smile is put in place... you know I am already a fan and each time I read I become more of one... well-done!
