Sea Dreams

Sea Dreams

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a beautiful afternoon at the beach ~ just scribbling ~

"

For whatever we lose (like a you or a me) it’s always ourselves we find in the sea

.…e.e. cummings

Sea Dreams

On sapphire seas that ebb and flow

with waves that dance under the glow

of bright sunbeams in shades of gold

weaving the dreams I cannot hold

yet draw me in, gently surround

the one who is willing to drown

in gems of light and fantasy

far, far too deep for eyes to see…

Where all is calm and the embrace

of peace will fill the empty place

that found my heart...now I regale

in these waters where I set sail

in carefree drift, much like the tide

I rise,

                                                                I fall,

                                                                                and still I glide

though never quite reach sandy shores

where castles of forevermore

stand fragile as the dreams once made

Perhaps I’m simply a mermaid…

Another, certainly one of my fav. poems.

Yes, love's what that draws romance to hearts', saves their heartbeats to world, makes 'em feel oft. familiar with dreams, & that always takes hopeless romantic spirits to "Sea-Dreams". It's even the love that makes choices & options ... to be lived along. What a beautiful poetry it is! Enjoyed reading it to the fullest.

Perhaps you are; that would explain your uncanny ability to write of the sea, the shore, the waves and the fine sea mist...and make me feel as if I am standing there watching of what you write. Hey, did I ever tell you that I once stood on the beach in St. Tropez? I can't remember enough to write about it, so your specialty is safe from me trying to worm my way in. Lovely write! take care...dan

Julie, you truly are the most elegant, sophisticated writer I know.
Your words are utterly beautiful and breathtaking. I miss reading you - and Trace - when I am not here but when I read you it's like, I have been reborn again -- it's weird.

Stunning as always.

Gentle and beautiful words. You create good places and visions.
"Where all is calm and the embrace
of peace will fill the empty place
that found my heart...now I regale
in these waters where I set sail
in carefree drift, much like the tide"
The above lines were my favorite dear Julie. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

oh you're the most beautiful mermaid in every way and write such gorgeous poems, if a mermaid has the power of the sirens of the sea then this one nearly dragged me dreamily down to the depths of the ocean and an untimely but heavenly demise, write on wife of Neptune your words caress with gentleness and passion enough to fill the soul or in this case sole ^_^ wonderful writing again!! Julie :)

you are welcome such gems you write and so polished!
Poetry so divine like a good glass of wine Read the riddle read the rhyme in the moments its on done in times. Times that drift by the seashore sandcastles on the sand floor not to be stood up for long as the tide swooshes in and knocks over the sand castles again and again. I love your poem and I loved your rhyme It was super lovely in golden letters made it special to me. keep on writings please.

You are. Not for water world, but for the our world. You are excellent dreamer.
