Glistening

Glistening

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic little scribble ~

"

                    art ~ garmash

His scent lingers on my skin

as soft as a veil morning dew

                                                     Glistening

When sunbeams are a whisper

and the day breathes roses

                   awakening the butterflies

                                        confetti wings fluttering

to the gentle joy of leftover dreams

As my mind wanders

back to the moonlit garden he so lovingly tended

When his eyes were as bright as sunlight on a stream

and his lips were a kiss of poetry on the breeze

                stealing my breath

                                       catching my skirt

weaving the night in satin stars

And I awaken too

surrounded with the essence

of roses and butterflies

                                     and his scent

as soft as morning dew

                               Glistening

There is something about the painting, Julie, about the font, the color, the layout of your lines, the emotional lure and beauty that sweeps my senses up into your romantically enthralling moment, that I simply and sincerely love the enthralling sensations of.

Julie, my sensitive side seems drawn rather completely and deeply by every line and verse, but most of all to this:
"When his eyes were as bright as sunlight on a stream
and his lips were a kiss of poetry on the breeze
stealing my breath
catching my skirt
weaving the night in satin stars"

Goodness-ME!
Well, I'll close now, Julie, and thank you every-so warmly … on my way to another read.
Big hugs to you for sharing your excellent pen! ⁓ Richard

tis always wonderful pleasure to read you,,,,,have a happy fourth weekend dear friend.
I wish i could wander down the corridors of your mind Julie, what an amazingly romantic place it must be where i could find such lines as,

When his eyes were as bright as sunlight on a stream
and his lips were a kiss of poetry on the breeze
stealing my breath
catching my skirt
weaving the night in satin stars

It must be a seventh heaven inside your head, ah! such bliss :)

You paint such a soft, sensual canvas of light... that warm, loving scent awakening your heart... and even nature becoming the mirror of your loving wonder. It is the kind of morning that makes life so worthwhile... so perfect.
