No Escape

No Escape

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a sensual little scribble ~

"

                photo compliments of pinterest

There is no veil,

only the night between us...

the darkness clinging

his kiss

intoxicating to eager lips

    his face

all the beauty that I see

his hands

warmer than the slow pleasure

of the sun rising

unmasked in rapturous heat

my breath upon his cheek, my scent upon his skin

our whispers tangled in the sighs of night,

capturing

every wish and longing...

not a kiss,  not a look,

not a  touch

will escape

the darkness clinging…

Julie,

As usual, the photograph, come on where do you find theses lovely pieces ? They a; ways go so well with your poetry. Such a sensual piece you have penned. I really enjoy the format of the piece , it flows as smoothly as the words you have written.

Oh my Ol' Bean! With banter like this, a British Gentleman could really boil his blood! I seem to recall a time in the darker regions of Timbuktu where a upstanding gentleman could tussle a good dirty puzzle betwixt the African shrubbery. But I always found it was best to fill in as the local physician and cure the women of the colonies of their hysteria single, and occasionally double, handedly. Why my dear friend, Magistrate Templeton, had quite a heavy hand when it came to such matters, but trust me, you best keep your distance. The odour of his little finger alone was enough to induce syphilis! Bully!

This is short but very direct, I'd prefer to have read a little more as my interest started to build, but on another note it does leaves the readers mind wandering and I think it's great u were able to do that, lovely poem

My pleasure :)
The formatting of the text itself is beautiful enough, but reading this made me feel a sense of wonder. It was as if a piece of passion was unveiled and exposed itself successfully within this poem. Great job and I can't wait to read more!

Beautiful and such a lovely imagery and such a romantic passionate scene.
I loved this part,

my breath upon his cheek,
my scent upon his skin
our whispers tangled
in the sighs of night,
capturing
every wish and longing...

A perfect sensual scribble.
You are classy ,a master weaver of romantic thoughts and words.

You reclaimed the darkness from all those Poe's poets and poetesses here Juile (thats not a dig at the master's fans - so no hate mail please guys)
I loved this line
"my breath upon his cheek, my scent upon his skin" - could they be any closer? They are almost gelled into one here.
Excellent writing my friend.

:)
