Awaken Love

Awaken Love

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ an aubade ~ a morning love poem ~

"

Awaken love, awaken me

the breeze is fresh with dew

in golden scents and running free

for me and love and you...

Soft as a breath sweeping the day

with paradise divine

as whispers tease and gently sway

the roses on the vine

and the lilies that stand so tall

against the blushing sky…

Let’s share a wish for winds to stall

and watch the bluebirds fly

Singing their songs of that and this

as light as pale winged tips

sailing in dreams of love and bliss

and when smooth honey lips…

sweeter than dew, or tears once wept

or petals in a sea

of lavender and violets

delight in the beauty

of all that’s you, your gentle charms

upon this warm breeze of

the rapture found within your arms

You’ll awaken me and love

What a delicious way to awaken, Julie, to the bliss of love and gentle charms … what man would not dream of such a poem composed to him from a poetic queen of romance?
I cannot answer that, because it most certainly is not me.

After reading this for the umpteenth time, I feel enveloped in sheer amoré from the poetical splendor of a thousand fireflies winking, warming me from inside my skin … it is truly a sensational Aubade, what else to say.

I have it tagged to read again, first thing tomorrow morning, as it should be to stir the day awake juuust right … thank you, Julie!
Okay, I'm smitten; … I admit it … what else to say! ⁓ Richard

(psst! I "loved" your face) ; )

I get perpetually lost in your words, Julie... you write the most romantic pieces that wrap the heart like a warm blanket... the art work, font style and colour, rhyme, and well-placed emphasis are skilfully used to create the atmosphere... we all want that wind to stall sometimes...well-done...love it!

dear Julie... "in golden scents and running free... sweeter than dew, or tears once wept...
of lavender and violets... the rapture found within your arms". Your poetry is seductive as
a hummingbird sipping nectar or a baby suckling a mother's breast. truly, Pat
