The Haunted OneA Poem by MsJewel~ a bittersweet sonnet ~
~~~ When night gives pause to a pale moon above where beauty found me once, my heart, your love still warms this tender place where I’ve become a prisoner to the night, the haunted one Catching whispers of moonlit memories of words that lovers say, now reveries to dress my pillow, silly as it seems with visions of you love, and in these dreams… You kiss my lips and brush the falling tears in which I drown and yet I breathe, the years cannot erase the ache, although divine are the night skies above when moonlight shines You may keep a piece of this heart that grieves and I will keep the night, the memories ~~~
