Sapphire Seas

Sapphire Seas

A Poem by MsJewel

~ a sensual love poem ~

"

His eyes are never as blue as in the morning

sapphire blue as the sea

darkened by the night

deeper with the dawn

I seize the moment and melt away

flowing like a river with oceans to explore

I taste the salt on his skin

on the tide

lulled with the wind

leaving secrets in the clouds…

diving deep

he surrounds me

and I am like the waves crashing to shore

a dance

lost in the deepest shadows of tangled sheets

                  and sapphire seas

drenched

...I melt away

Hey you have the most incredible gift of being able to craft some of the most delightfully subtle and compelling love poetry out there Julie and your 'Sapphire Seas' is the most recent example that I have been fortunate to stumble on thus far.... Not the last though..........All Good Things, N

The motion of the ocean will act as love rolling you with each quivering wave and drift you endlessly with her tides and as our sweat mingles together we create our own salt water mist

Wonderful piece! Loved the slight tug on the sensual. Gives the reader just enough to widen the imagination without going too far. Instilling the blue hues is an excellent choice and use of color. I have an affinity for poetry that uses color. It's such a thought provoking use of words. Very lovely!

Yup - this is definitely way up there on the sensuality scale Julie. I was carried by the tides of this one. No preserver needed though, it was a delight.
The visual melting at the end is very creatively done. I like it very much.
Great writing my friend.

You are welcome Julie. I love your poetry and thoughts.
sapphire...blue and on fire, drenched, dazzled by love...feeling those waves with this one.
dizzying breaths, diving deep for passion....

the words mingle so well, clutch each other to make elegantly sensual phrasing.

This is a wonderful piece. Such amazing imagery. I love the ways in which you went about making your comparisons. So sophisticated with just enough lechery. This is one of the sweetest poems I've read in a while. And the picture complimented the poem nicely as well as the font colour. Great job. Stay inspired.
