Sapphire Seas

Sapphire Seas

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a sensual love poem ~

His eyes are never as blue as in the morning

sapphire blue as the sea

darkened by the night

deeper with the dawn

I seize the moment and melt away

flowing like a river with oceans to explore

I taste the salt on his skin

on the tide

lulled with the wind

leaving secrets in the clouds…

diving deep

he surrounds me

and I am like the waves crashing to shore

a dance

lost in the deepest shadows of tangled sheets

                  and sapphire seas

drenched

...I melt away

Hey you have the most incredible gift of being able to craft some of the most delightfully subtle and compelling love poetry out there Julie and your 'Sapphire Seas' is the most recent example that I have been fortunate to stumble on thus far.... Not the last though..........All Good Things, N

What caught my attention first was how you refer to the sea as a male, which is essntially different from how people view the ocean as a female. I like that. It makes it different and unique. Other than that, I have no more to say excpect I liked the poem.

I am listening to "Legacy Of Champions" by Immediate Music, and it seems to be going with the pic.
