Julie, I watched a show on TV a long time ago that showed, using time-lapse photography, a rose as it began from a bud and then bloomed into full flower; I got the feeling that I was seeing something eerily similar as I read this lovely piece. You mention a 'mist,' while I recall dew drops on the buds as they opened. Such a serene and tranquil vision, love in full bloom. Outstanding imagery in use here. Bravo!! take care...dan

I'm thrilled you enjoyed it Dan. Thanks so much :) Julie
Profoundly romantic fare that virtually radiates loveliness.
The sensuality you create, Jewel, always seems to be more beautiful than gritty, more spiritual than carnal.
Sublime poetry most refreshing, most gratifying!
dear Julie ... soft and tender is your pen...
"touching as sunlight would touch a bed of roses,
so sudden and sweet..." is a beautiful expression.
truly... Pat
oh wow....just wow on the last line! fabulously written and as always nobody does love like you Julie.

I must admit, I suck at romance and this is just too damn good.
It lingers in my mind..
I decided after reading 'Silent Dawn' to read your pieces one at a time with appropriate intervals.
This is the second I've read and will be sticking to the regime to fully appreciate your efforts. The least I can do; there is again nothing to critique about again. I enjoyed this immensely, Julie.

I've been writing poetry for 15 years. My poetry isn't unique in any way, but it is written from the heart.
I have trouble keeping up with everyone's poetry, so please send me rr's.
I enjoy rec.. more..
