Tonight

Tonight

~ a romantic scribble ~

Tonight…

I’m wrapped in bittersweet nostalgia

searching for words to describe

your sleepy kisses

                                                 on quiet nights

when starlight was the only witness to breathless promises

whispered as tenderly as your touch…

                                            silk to my skin

                                                 warming soft curves

                                  uncovering emotions

I could only dream of capturing

with amethyst skies

                                and silver stars

and poetic words beating to the sound of my heart

So tonight…

as the stars breathe goodnight kisses from a wistful sky

I’ll surrender to dreams of your touch

                                 on quiet nights

                 and forget everything else…

                                                           but you

I dont know how I missed this one Julie. I loved immediately the bubbles filled image - its so playful and sensual, and the way it set the scene.
I see how well you use formatting Julie - this is a masterclass - the way the reader is carried - gently to the next word - the next line. Letting each word settle like a snowflake.
Straight into my library this gorgeous write goes -
:))

julie, I'm out of adjectives to describe your poetry cos I hate to repeat myself.
I said tender, feathery, ethereal, sweet. no, nothing new there. I'll have to take a look at Thesaurus.
you're the queen of romantic writes here.
