Alighting

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ I'll always be a spring girl ~

"

                                      richard johnson ~ morning blossoms

Pastel scents and vanilla clouds

and the breeze singing in the sweetest voice…

“Come to my window, love

awaken the wildflowers

       for all is new”

I run to feel the sun in my hair

the blush on my cheeks

warming my heart

stirring my soul

like a dove...

Yes, you're all time 'spring girl'. I've figured that all out through your pages (earlier pages). Appreciate it. The poetry's written with the game of words. Liked how beautifully you compare clouds with "vanilla"; scents with "pastel" (its makes vivid imagery of pastel hues in mind); the shine of hair with "sun-rays"; blush of lips with "heart"... Really enjoyed reading this poetic art. Well written!

With our third morning of the bright sun rising in the distance, I think all here are singing your fluent melody, beaconing spring to bring to birth God's garden of flowers. Valentine Sweet write.

This gave me a thrill. I imagined that there was a wonderful quid pro duo going on between the speaker and Nature in that - Nature was calling her to the window as if she was the muse of Spring and would encourage its blossoming - in return Spring was the writers muse. Sublime writing.
Well written Julie!!

Happy Spring my sweet friend :) Julie
I think my favorite line is the first one, especially with the image of the vanilla clouds. This makes me so excited for beautiful spring days, especially since it's been so cloudy and gray here. Thank you for bringing pastel scents and vanilla clouds to brighten my day.

Springtime is one of my favorite seasons, I love to feel the newness of it all.
The sun on my skin, the warm breezes, the longer days,

this poem encompasses so many of those feelings, and brings a smile to my face.
