Alighting

Alighting

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ I'll always be a spring girl ~

"

                                      richard johnson ~ morning blossoms

Pastel scents and vanilla clouds

and the breeze singing in the sweetest voice…

“Come to my window, love

awaken the wildflowers

       for all is new”

I run to feel the sun in my hair

the blush on my cheeks

warming my heart

stirring my soul

like a dove...

Yes, you're all time 'spring girl'. I've figured that all out through your pages (earlier pages). Appreciate it. The poetry's written with the game of words. Liked how beautifully you compare clouds with "vanilla"; scents with "pastel" (its makes vivid imagery of pastel hues in mind); the shine of hair with "sun-rays"; blush of lips with "heart"... Really enjoyed reading this poetic art. Well written!

I could see this unfold, with my mind's eye. gorgeous!
after months of cold and miserable weather, you come out of your cocoon and spread your wings under the spring sun. I love spring, too.

Aaah, the dove, that bearer of loving feelings springing forth...love the coo coo owl-like sounds in the morning; that is, when they come back here from warmer climes. This reads like a harbinger of spring in the air, a time of rebirth and all things new. Beautiful piece, Julie. take care...dan
