Silent Dawn

Silent Dawn

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ just a scribble ~

"

                   photograph compliments of pinterest

Silence finds me

naked and vulnerable

As the morning sun

plays against the white cloud of pillows

protecting my dreams

I ache

to feel the warmth of your lips

your taste on mine

as you tattoo your love upon my skin

strewn with fragrant flowers

glistening at your touch

How I miss waking up

to the beat of your heart

legs in tangled rapture

                                 secrets

 left exposed to the moonlight

                                                naked and vulnerable

                                                                       silence finds me

To still feel the longing and loneliness of a lover long gone,
is something only a poet can describe in verse with such beauty, simplicity and grace.

This is sensual, and seductive, yet solemn and tempered with just a hint of wistfulness.

wonderful poetry my friend

Enchanting, yet heart breaking. Holds such lost, but there is still beauty in it. Loved it lots!

A very nice scribble MsJewel. "As the morning sun/plays against the white cloud of pillows/protecting my dreams" creates the most beautiful image. Your words, while sensual, are calming and comforting, even though they are written in response to missing a lover. Thanks for sharing. - FT

You are welcome Julie.
'Naked' in this is such a strong word Julie - being naked with the right person never feels like being naked. Vulnerable isnt a word I'd associate between two people for whom their nakedness doesnt even occur to them - thats not to say when the time is right, that nudity isnt a trigger for sex but naked here isn't sexual - its on a higher plane.
Missing the one - makes nakedness into a vulnerablilty.

Yeah, I really hate those noisy dawns. Or is that Dons? (Sorry, I spaced out right into a scene from The Godfather...or Gotti). AKA (all kidding aside), this poem is another example of how your lovely mind weaves these intricate and tender love poems...the longing, the rapture enjoyed by partners, the dreamlike settings. A very tranquil, yet electrifying, exercise in the genre in which you specialize. I've said many times, Julie: keep writing them and I'll keep reading them. take care...dan
