Julie, A very intriguing presentation, it allows you to set the table with earlier lines and culminate with the summation in the last stanza, all of it interspersed with 'I write' to punctuate your thoughts. This is really impressive, Julie; it would have been very good had you laid it out differently, but the way you do so allows some thoughts to seem as if they are separate without interrupting the overall flow. This is a very impressive piece, Julie, well written and well received. take care...dan

Thank so much Dan. I appreciate you and your friendship :) Julie
A very good poem with a touch of sadness in it, but woven into your romantic words they become melancholic, nostalgic feelings for lost times, for heaven that couldn't wait. Loved all of it, Julie. :)
This is a beautiful poem, very melancholic and haunting. Your descriptions are as always eloquent with evocative imagery - "for the memory of his ocean eyes/ midnight blue in peaceful tides".
After the enchantment of beautiful descriptions in the stanzas, the repetition of "I write" gives the reader a
chance to pause, come back down to earth and feel the loss (for me at least).
It must have been difficult for you to write, but I am glad that you shared it.
Mai
We can capture and hold a Heavenly moment, a time spent with someone, in a good write.
You can be right back there in that dream when you come back to it and read and experience it again.
We Write! Beautiful, I liked the line "For the memory of his ocean Eyes"
Eyes that's what captures me, that and the smile. Sweet write Love.

Thank you for your lovely review. I appreciate it very much :) Julie
This seems to have been written for me. Ocean blue eyes, golden kisses, his breath [and mustache] tickling my cheek, But his soft touch left...it is all a beautiful memory. Nice one Sweetie. Valentine
There is a sadness behind this poem that also portrays a great love that is now lost. "the beauty of his touch for the serenity of my soul and the one who couldn't wait, I write" Hauntingly beautiful in every way. Keep writing!
I've been writing poetry for 15 years. My poetry isn't unique in any way, but it is written from the heart.
I have trouble keeping up with everyone's poetry, so please send me rr's.
