~ spring is almost here my dear ~

As we wander among the lilies and the daffodils

tender petals blossom, while the snow upon the hills

melts in tiny puddles of sweet dew, as it flows

nestling on the flowers ‘til the meadow gently glows

 

 

Then the leaves begin to flutter high upon the trees

as flecks of golden sunlight dance upon a silky breeze

and the sunbeams wrap around us, whispering your name

floating softly, as the flowers and my heart does the same

 

 

And every single love poem is a sonnet just for two

of the flowers in the springtime and the love I have for you

overflowing with a passion that grows and never stills

as we wander among the lilies and the daffodils

I love this poem. The imagery could have sounded tired and overused-it is hard to describe flowers and wind in so many different new ways, after all-but the way you wrote it is refreshing and beautiful. The way it rhymes is gentle-instead of trying to form the poem around words that rhyme, you wrote the poem and made it rhyme beautifully. The connection between romance and nature is one that is often used in poems, and it is wonderful to see a well-written and unforced example. This is how poetry should be: gentle, honest, effortless, sweet. You are very good at what you do. :)

Beautiful. As mentioned before it is very descriptive, if I had to describe in it in one word I would say 'soft'. My eyes seamlessly moved from one word to the next, in other words there weren't any words that hindered my reading. Simply love the flow.
