~ spring is almost here my dear ~

As we wander among the lilies and the daffodils

tender petals blossom, while the snow upon the hills

melts in tiny puddles of sweet dew, as it flows

nestling on the flowers ‘til the meadow gently glows

 

 

Then the leaves begin to flutter high upon the trees

as flecks of golden sunlight dance upon a silky breeze

and the sunbeams wrap around us, whispering your name

floating softly, as the flowers and my heart does the same

 

 

And every single love poem is a sonnet just for two

of the flowers in the springtime and the love I have for you

overflowing with a passion that grows and never stills

as we wander among the lilies and the daffodils

This has given me such a yearning for Spring Julie - the first stanza; glowing meadows of life replacing the blankness of the white that we have become desensitized to will be so soul-lifting when it finally happens here but for now your descriptions are a beautiful painting in the mind's eye to sustain me.
The second stanza; being wrapped in the comfort and romance of flowers and love and sunbeams is sublime.
The final stanza; first line is truly magical crafting. This verse alone would make me buy a card if it was written in it - for no special occasion just to say I love you ~ well I suppose thats always a special occaision ;)

Julie, I just shoveled 5 inches of "spring around the corner" knowing full well that the corner is miles and miles away. It IS sunny today...at least a departure of the grey blanket we've been covered by for too long. I'm saving this one in my library so that when OUR spring arrives I can come back and revel more completely in your beautiful write. THEN, and only then, will spring have been sprung. Its hard to imagine springtime flowers after just getting a foot of snow. But I saw buds on the cherry trees
And crocus' s poking their tiny green leaves out of the ground.
And it made reading this poem all the more special.

Love and springtime go hand in hand
And you expressed it perfectly in this beautiful poem.
