Of Wishes...Of Love

Of Wishes...Of Love

~ a romantic scribble ~

"

To lay my head a moment ‘pon his chest

a serenade of two hearts intertwined

that takes us far above the restless night

where only heaven waits, we move as one

I’ll count the stars shining in his eyes

and know each wish was only that for love

Each breath between us sweet,

                              precious one…

hold me close as the night sheds her dew

To wake to pale white lilies standing tall

and buds upon the vine glistening dawn

to catch each falling tear, this dewy morn

silky and soft, yet warm, as he is near

then join him half awake veiled in our dream

where wishes still shine in loving eyes…

"to catch each falling tear, this dewy morn

Nothing like two hearts intertwined in one dream of eternity and nothing like those eyes shimmering in the precious nights. A wonderful scribble...:)......

There is something special about awakening to the aftermath of or the prelude to, sweet love in the morning!

A beautiful love poem, melodious and romantic mixed with a touch of longing. Could almost hear my own sigh after reading it :-)

As always, you write stunningly romantic poetry. Wonderful.

so beautiful as ever Julie, you float a dream of love so well down the stream of desire, who could not wish to ride this love boat, amazing :)

Romantic as always with a wonderful touch of sultry to spice it up even further.

Beautiful, heart catching one. A soft whisper of wishes amongst the cry of the night......lovely piece.

It's a real jewel, Julie. Beautiful words don't make a good poem, but you are waving them into sentences, into real feelings, sensual, breathing love and romantic. Very well done . :) Rudi

Aah, my daily dose of feel-good loveliness to combat the hellish day I just went through. You really should be published, your talent with this genre of writing is such that it takes such a singular approach to the loving theme without seeming the very least repetitive. Part of my bad day is because I'm very sick and short of strength. I will review your other rr tomorrow, hopefully. take care...dan
