Dangerous ~ a MsJewel and Trace collaboration

Dangerous ~ a MsJewel and Trace collaboration

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ having a little fun with my best friend Trace ~

"

Dangerous

Part 1 ~ The Lady

I let him drive my car…

Top down, 4th gear

hair, teased by the wind

as he takes the curves on Pacific Coast Highway

a little faster than is comfortable

smiling…that smile

Weak knees, blushing cheeks…

I try my best to concentrate on the moonlight

peeking through the clouds,

shimmering off the tide

in a sea of liquid light

the long stretch of deserted sand

beckoning moonlit paradise

              for lovers

strolling hand in hand

My head screams slow down

but the words are lost

in the beat of my heart,

                  racing

the butterflies in my stomach,

                              fluttering

my hand trembling as I reached for his

Without a word, he stops the car

taking my hand, kissing it gently

smiling…that smile

                             yes,

                                      it was then I knew

…..he’s dangerous

Dangerous,

Part 2 ~ The Gentleman

                 I want to go for a ride…

Will you drive?

I held her door, as she slid into the soft leather seat

handing me her keys

But was it the cut of her dress

or the demure pause

that made me hesitate

Oh, yes….

the exposed thigh for my admiration

So.... "she’ll let me drive "

I thought, as I started the car

“I’ve got this.”

Sure,  she knows how to drive this little German

and she looks “so fine”, her long blonde hair,

this shiny black convertible

But does she know what this little thing can do?

Does she know that I do know how to drive it,

to its limits?

The P.C.H. rolls out before us

as the moonlight beckons lovers to the beach

I see her exhilaration and anxiety

with every turn and every run through the gears

faster

and harder

I take control,

and enjoy the view

Excitement radiates from her fingers

as she pushes her nails into my hand

I slow this marvelous machine

to see the fire in her eyes

her breasts rising with every breath

The smile and nervous laugh makes me wonder

was it the driving….or the driver?

as I kiss her hand

I think to myself

…she’s dangerous

But….

I’ve got this

oh my, i am reminded of those nights on Briggs Street, the old dirt road when we used to park and make out---
How far was the destination, how far were we allowed to drive?
and how far would she stay riding shotgun ---in the backseat of teen passion.

I havent experienced anything quite like this you guys. The pictures, the formatting, the dual POV aspect and the stylishness of it is quite breath-taking. Its looks and reads like it should be shown at Cannes and should be up for a Palm D'Or or something like that.

A 50 shades of Racy write you two - very well done. !

This is a really well written his/hers perspective on the same theme, a man driving a woman's car on the Pacific Coast Highway. The tone suggests a platonic infatuation, yet the text is rife with suggestively sexual connotations, ex. "faster and harder I take control." This may, in fact, be the story of two people who are just at the beginning stages of a loving relationship that had not progressed past the platonic precursor to a sexual relationship. That anticipation is expressed by each character's own words. Just taking the words at face value shows a beautiful love story, if nothing more. I enjoyed this very much, thank you for submitting it in a RR for my perusal. This sounds like it could be part of a screenplay, with the ride going on while the man and woman intone their thoughts via a disembodied narrator's voice. This is a winner any way I look at it. Congrats on the fine collaboration! take care...dan
