This Night

This Night

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a sensual little scribble ~

"

                This night…

Let there only be moonlight

and your breath upon my skin

painting my cheeks a fevered blush

my lips softening the crush of yours

Eyes veiled with wishes,

souls wrapped in beams of light

exposing every secret

whispered sweet….passionate sips

between love’s kiss

For nothing is hidden…nor forbidden

not the power of my fragility

as weakened in your strength

pressing us closer together

I catch my breath…you breathe me in

Hearts beating wild,

like the dance of a windblown flame

 captured

                                                      this night

                                                we breathe us

I knew I was going to love this from reading the first two lines. So sensual and passionate, but not aggressive or uncouth. I love that you can convey such a sexy scene while still keeping it classy. Perfect poem for someone's bae on Valentine's Day! Amazing job

This speaks to the soul tugging at the heart while yelling at the mind to get on board. Rich and robust imagery with a perfect ending.
