Night Whispers

Night Whispers

A Poem by MsJewel

~ a romantic sonnet ~

~~~~~~
Visions are adrift in romantic skies
sparked with tenderness, breathless are my sighs
warmed in amethyst, starlight and moonbeams
soft as whisper, drifting towards my dreams
Captivating me with the loveliness
and the elegance of dreams softly dressed
only in your love…oh sweet fantasy
hypnotizing yes…mesmerizing me
Floating on a breeze, ruffling tender lace
taking me at once to that secret place
where we will linger in the dark of night
soft as a whisper until dawns first light
Romance fills the night, starlight and moonbeams
soft as a whisper drifting towards my dreams
~~~~~

Oh my the longing in this Julie is so intense - how can one pen such a write and still stay on this planet - I imagine your heart and soul were stretched to the stars as this one flowed out. Its gorgeous and the sonnet form takes it to another dimension.
Phewww - I think my boiler thermostat has failed again - is anyone else hot in here??

This truly gave 'beautiful' a whole new meaning. I can see what fifteen years of writing did to you. These words fit well together, resulting in gorgeous imagery. I have a weakness for rhyming poems, and this one was the final blow for me. Ms. Jewel, your mind and pen are naturals at this. Also, excellent job on the depiction of the piece. I am happy I came across such art.

Thank you for sharing!
