After All This Time

~ a heartprint ~

After all this time...

 

the white calla lilies still stand proud

against the multicolored palette of roses

warming the worn cobblestone path

 

as the morning breeze

weaves the song of time

                                effortlessly

ruffling the branches of the old willow tree

 

and I’m here

curled up in memories

watching a cascade

                                 of dew kissed morning glories

                                             dance through mother’s garden

 

if it weren’t for the shadows in the sky

                                  raining on my heart

                        it would be just as she had left it…

I love it, just love it and beauty of it paints a gorgeous picture without the painting (dreaming that's me, hehehe) The somber ending is beautiful and if is it true for certain she is proud of you.
