Falling...

Falling...

If I were a raindrop would you catch me

would you hold me and not let me go

‘til dark skies that shuddered with lightning

                     would brighten

                                 painting rainbows

Kissing the sky like a sweet dream

                 where whip cream

                        clouds will be found…

If I were a raindrop

                        would you catch me

or would you let me fall to the ground?

This was beautiful. I can picture it all in my head. Letting those drops fall on you and becoming a part of you. The gentle splash similar to a warm embrace. Good read. Thank you.

Beautiful artwork and I like the poetry that ends with a question.
"If I were a raindrop
would you catch me
or would you let me fall to the ground?"
Some questions are answered by living and time. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Were they to catch you, would they absorb you? Would you cease to exist without them? Would you evaporate, slowly, back into the place from which you fell?

This made me wonder.....the nature and fluidity of connections.....but I digress.
This is quite beautiful.

Wow Miss Jewel, I loved the question in this. Don't we all just want to know if we fall is someone is going to catch us. I love this ...

Thank you :) Julie
Beautiful, Julie! I love this. The raindrops are so metaphorical. Great job! Gently romantic with a beautiful soft voice. A new favorite.

Thank you for your kind words! :) Julie
Your raindrop fall so softly with wondrous thoughts and joy of the one who is the breath you breathe to kiss again with pasted lips. Only someone with a poet heart can truly write what they feel deep inside of them so beautifully as you have. You are more than someone with a bautiful skill when it comes to wrting affair of the heart. :) Larry

You are more than welcome my Friend.
This has a feel of a Rod McKuen poem - "Do You Like the Rain." There is a soft gentleness here . . . and it's a good place to be. Very lovely, indeed.
