So very heart-warming! Could'nt we do everything back then the tiny tots, there was'nt anything impossible. Imagination made the lines marking the limits fade right away. This piece is a wonderful thing, it fills the heart with the old joy and exhilaration.
Brings daddy right next to your heart in this fairy tale explored. Many would ride off to the sunset Hues at the end of such poetry amazed at what was written down here Charmed fathers every where a loving daughter shall tell everyone Of her knighted dad. Follow him where ever they went. Into fairy land full of love grand. Such a proud Dad You must have You write of such sweet sentimental stuff. GREAT WRITING STUFF.

This collection of shared memories is adorable Julie - really it is and you just jumped right into your young self and immersed yourself (must have been fun to do)
I mean this part (Im loathe to do this because the whole thing is so cute)
"Where castles built upon a moat
were mysteries; how did they float?" ---- screams the innocence of youth to me.
"he eats children for lunch!" --- thats right ! I forgot - everything ate children when we were children, ogres, witches, dragons, giants - no wonder we all got a tad neurotic.lol
"Then on my horse, off we would ride
my handsome knight right by my side
the sky in sunset hues" --- ah - whole days were spent outside playing and imagining from sunrise to sunset - this is a great reminder of that in one line !
Beautiful return at the end with the repeated refrain and the link to the title - classy.
I enjoyed this immensely
thanks for RRing

It is a shame. I wonder if my daughter knows dragons eat children for lunch...I'll have to ask her. :) Julie

it is nice to hear of such fathers....we too often hear of the abusive ones, and this is uplifting...
the good ones love without bounds, but know their bounds also....
