Where the Wildflowers Sway

Where the Wildflowers Sway

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic scribble ~

"

The wind has come, soft and warm

as the wildflowers sway

and the voice of love echoes in my heart…

He is mine and I am his

he wanders among the wildflowers

leading me to where we dream,

with a comfortable hand,

swallowing mine,

fingers knotted

and I am safe

sheltered from all distractions in this place

where the fields of summer lay as soft

as the flecks of sun and shade

glistening

rose petal kisses and violet scents

velvet petals surrendering to the wind

He brushes the hair from my eyes

wounding my lips with his sweetness

beauty touching beauty

love tasting joy

his life streaming through my veins

‘til I am weak from his loveliness

Yes, the wind has come

…soft and warm

WOW, I think I sighed at least 5 times while reading this beautifully romantic piece… it makes me think of the book Withering Heights.

Your romantic poetry is enough to make the reader swoon, Julie. "He brushes the hair from my eyes
wounding my lips with his sweetness." That is a WOW line if ever there was one! Soft, gentle, tender.....so very lovely. Lydi**

They are the sweetest days! :) Julie
I liked the vivid sensuality from this poem. It definitely depicts the romantic essence of your chosen picture below the title. Great work Julie. It's eloquent romanticism at its best. :)
