Whispers of White

~ a winter love sonnet ~

Soft is our garden of delicate light

with glistening buds still shimmering spring

painted and dewy in whispers of white

as snow is falling on light lacey wings

 

Stirring on windfalls, as chilly winds blow

yet I am a blush, a flutter within

Caught in a daydream filled with the warm glow

of your tender touch, of silk to my skin

 

Of petals scattered in sweet disarray

and my heart melting in flames of desire

Please promise my love to love me this way

until winter fades to ash in our fire

 

Snowflakes are falling in delicate light

yet love is blooming in whispers of white

Those soft whispers fall white and pure blown in by the gentle winds upon the wings of delicate romance. When the beloved hears those whispers they become part of the landscape...Excellent...:)...............
