The beautiful hours are gone

 

Images fade of amethyst nights and moonlit desires

and silver stars sparkling on an ocean of dreams,

 rising with the dawn, these tender tides

             like a promise dancing on a poetic breeze

                     where lush green vines, bloomed whispered words

                           Weaving our hearts in gentle rhyme

         

           vanishing... 

                 without a trace

 

as silence fills the empty space

you once painted with colors of love

 

How I long to hear just an echo of that breeze

but it is still

          it is cold

and you are left bleeding…

 

While I am nothing but a distant heartbeat,

a painful forgotten memory

 

In forgiveness,

      I hunger

        I ache

to find the words to tell you

 

a day without your voice is a lifetime without poetry

                                                                       without beauty…

Beautifully written Julie .. the lose can be measured in tons and universes of black holes .. and it seems your word tears have filled many oceans.
