Without A Trace

Without A Trace

The beautiful hours are gone

Images fade of amethyst nights and moonlit desires

and silver stars sparkling on an ocean of dreams,

rising with the dawn, these tender tides

like a promise dancing on a poetic breeze

where lush green vines, bloomed whispered words

Weaving our hearts in gentle rhyme

           vanishing...

                 without a trace

as silence fills the empty space

you once painted with colors of love

How I long to hear just an echo of that breeze

but it is still

          it is cold

and you are left bleeding…

While I am nothing but a distant heartbeat,

a painful forgotten memory

In forgiveness,

      I hunger

        I ache

to find the words to tell you

a day without your voice is a lifetime without poetry

                                                                       without beauty…

The beautiful hours are gone

' I ache .. to find the words to tell you .. a day without your voice is a lifetime without poetry .. without beauty… .. .. The beautiful hours are gone '

Your words are more than writing.. they are YOU, deeply, genuinely you. Won't say more, i can't,. because anything more would be crass. (You)

Your very welcome. :-))
a day without your voice is a lifetime without poetry
without beauty
With each heartbeat, another day without you, soft evenings
alone, remembering.
Your poetry stems from the heart and leaves me breathless.
Thank you,

As we walk in sand, we leave footprints behind. The weight of our bodies press down into the earth; and while there is a hollow imprint left behind, the grains of sand remain unnumbered. The loss of one so dear leaves a permanent indentation in the heart. There's a hollow and an ache, but the beats remain unnumbered and the memories flow through the veins keeping the hopes and dreams alive.

As the ocean waves wash ashore, the sands become commingled, some washing out to sea while others are swept in to join the ones already there. May the days be your waves, bringing you new memories to mingle with the old - a union of old and new that leads to something even brighter.

Blessed be.

Memories are one 'Gift' fron God that death cannot destroy. I think of my dear husband this way also. Valentine
