Dreams, Stars, Sunbeams and RosesA Poem by MsJewel~ a poem I wrote for my daughter ~

I caught a star, it found me in a dream in the shadow of a flower’s tender bloom catching raindrops safely in my pocket saved for roses should I find a summer day Suddenly, the songbirds sang so sweetly of the sunrise and a day brightly kissed with ribbons of delight…golden sunbeams to wrap around my heart with dawns first breath And for one moment of pure lovely bliss tiny flecks of light weaved rainbow words through cloudless skies of blue, a lullaby awakening the roses sleepy blooms I picked a sweet bouquet wrapped in sunbeams and watched the flowers dance in graceful winds My pockets, no longer filled with raindrops overflowed with petals of delight And when night fell, taking the last sunbeam I heard the stars in whisper with the moon “We found her in the shadow of a dream... and filled her with the love of poetry” © 2014 MsJewelAuthor's Note
