With the Dawn

With the Dawn

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ an aubade ~

"

            photograph compliments of pinterest

            With the dawn...I sigh

wishing the night could stay

and softly I could sail

on the dreams that still play

A time for us when love

lit up the tender skies

as storms rose deep within

and moonlight filled our eyes

While symphonies so sweet

swayed softer than the flow

of tides that took us where

only a secret goes

And when the thunder roared

the strength of his embrace

held me in safety and

warms me as I retrace

The beauty of his touch

my soft breathless reply

as dreams now sail away....

with the dawn...I sigh

six syllables for most lines .. for me you have created precious moments between lovers .. wrapped them in moonlight, oceans, storms and touch .. i wanted to make the last line of verse three
only secrets can go; and last line last verse with dawns lighting i sigh .. or something to keep the beat .. i enjoyed reading your poem "With the Dawn" .. i couldn't remember what an aubade is so had to look it up .. thank you for that! your song is gentle, romantic to beat hell and full of images, music, textures and of course ... love!

When we can hear music. Love is abounded and alive. Thank you dear Poet for sharing the excellent poetry.

"With the dawn I sigh" So Graceful and pretty a creation of such a scene was so brilliant I got caught up in what was meant to be. Lines that made me sail away and touch my heart. They were brilliant and super smart. From where I stand they are a piece of art.

dear Julie... Romance by the sea brings dreams
of ecstasy when your pen writes letters in the sands
of lovers time with moonlight in their eyes. Julie..
you embrace passion with sensations of
dreams blending with thunder and tenderness.
truly... Pat
