A Whisper and A Rose

~ to be in love with a poet...~

 

 

A rose upon my pillow

a whisper, soft and sweet

as smooth as velvet petals

the words of love he speaks..

 

of poetry as gentle

and softer than a beam

of pale moonlight shining

upon a lovely dream

 

of melodies as graceful

as twilights lullaby

of golden dawns still tangled

in every moonlit sigh

 

of our forever after

together as love grows …

 

Whispers upon my pillow

                                of love,

                                                 soft as a rose

thats one heck of a pillow Ms.Jewel! it looks like the thorns are stripped off ..thank goodness :) i love your poem .. it is so about love at its best .. it shows me to be a bit of a cynic ... i would not have thought ... guess i better check myself and give my attitude a needed adjustment .. youthful dreams of love come true .. there is such gracefulness in the movement of "A Whisper and A Rose"

oh my goodness, did you have to reduce me to a melted, soft, gushy, mess over here?.. I mean really, girl... this is divine... you don't need anything but your beautiful spirit and magical words, but then you add pictures and fonts and colors, and construction and it becomes something so much more... It is an experience for the heart, mind, and senses with your work.. always... This one is so powerful.. It grabs ahold of your heart and caresses it ever so softly into submission..
