Through the Silence

Through the Silence

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ dreams, dreams, dreams...~

"

art by Aranza Sestaya

When faith was lost, hope like raindrops fell

upon the stillness of a moonless night

and stars that once trembled with romance

dimmed within the shadows of a dream

Yet it was this dream that made you mine

as somehow through the silence you found me

You praised me with your eyes, your touch, love’s breath

fanned by a healing wind ‘pon beauty torn

With cheeks afire, aflame within my heart

the taste so sweet, your kiss upon my lips

I held you to my breast, a vision warm

‘til all lay golden in the wake of dawn

It was your love, though never mine to keep

flowing through my veins, when hope was found

in the stillness of a moonless night

in the silence of a lovely kiss

Painfully beautiful, just like the dream you evoke here...you set the scene so perfectly with the moonless but starry night...I also loved 'til all lay golden in the wake of dawn'...so many gorgeous images here, too many to single out...another lovely and lilting romantic piece...great work as always Julie :)

Your words have a certain way of embracing the eyes, once embraced, I feel you kissing my soul with tender lips and I simply warmed by the eternal fires.

Thank you Fran. :) Julie
I like the gentle and sweet words leading the reader to good places and thoughts. The kiss can change a journey or mind if too sweet and tempting. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry my friend.
