300 Love Poems Later...

300 Love Poems Later...

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic little scribble ~

"

art ~ ron discenza

300 love poems later…

my heart still flutters

               not with butterflies

but with an indefinable yearning

a perpetual hunger

that could only be satisfied

with your kiss ~ resting gently upon my lips

as soft as a dew kissed dawn

as light as a whisper of breath

                       held

in the wake of a lacy moon

a kiss…your kiss

                        soft, light

yet with the unspoken magic

that defines the word rapture

spilling with passion from the pen

               of a poet…this poet

whose heart still flutters

not with butterflies

                   300 love poems later…

It is amazing the journey you have taken
I have so enjoyed all the poetry you have shared along the way.
this has a touch of that trail.... a tale of love.
a poets heart expressed so brilliantly with the stroke of her pen.

The most amazing thing is that each and every poem you have written
is extraordinary in it's own right. (Write???)

I love how this poem isn't really about the 300 previous poems
but about how the love is still there.......
and probably always will be.

This goes to the top of my favorites list.

Your words breath the desire. Oh, how I wish I could let go like other people. It seems that hunger can only be fulfilled by the one missing. Kudos!

Touchingly sensual, shadowy sensations, your poem is evidence of a well developed craft, complete with the wicking of desire's flame.

Julie, this is such a powerful poem in that it says love is here to stay even now. You have a beautiful way of phrasing your words and I love how you expressed them in this poem and I adore the title too. This poem speaks to me more than you know. You are true romantic writer.. stunning..
