Open Windows

Open Windows

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ just a scribble ~

"

photograph compliments of pinterest

Love

open the window of my soul

and lift the cloud of lace curtains

colorless in the mist of this rainy night

Look past the wishing well of tender memories

still echoing with each heartbeat

(filled with longing for you)

So I may reach out

and hold the hands of time

Remembering…

You

who taught me

with beauty and grace

“When your dreams like stars fall like rain from the sky,

dance in the rain

and tomorrow will bring sunshine and sweet daisies

if you listen to your heart”

Love changes everything….even from a distance

Yes my angel,

the window is open

~~~
"So I may reach out
and hold the hands of time
Remembering…
You
who taught me
with beauty and grace."
These lines added so much to the loveliness of this poem.
I would however make a suggestion.
In the lines that follow, I had a little confusion reading it.
I had to read it two or three times to make sense of it.
I would add a comma to sort out the confusion.
So it would read,
“When your dreams like stars,
fall like rain from the sky,
dance in the rain
and tomorrow will bring sunshine and sweet daisies
if you listen to your heart."
Overall, it was a lovely poem and I did enjoy reading.
Thanks so much :) Julie
This is simply lovely. The use of simile and metaphor was well developed here. The imagery felt real to the touch as well. Beautiful. Great read.
True blessing comes from your soul love letters of the mind open ones heats to the possibility love strike the could amount to a lifetime of love and desires of the heart full filled in motions of the night when Love it granted a kiss and a few wishes the holds on in the middle of the evening into the dawns early light lovers hold tight to memories of a romantic heart.
Thank you! :) Julie
I really like this poem.
It reminds me of, "So it Rains".
You have a way with penning love and a fond remembering.
Yes, there is a sadness, but my favorite part is the open window at the end...
Very lovely. My favorite of yours so far.
