Somewhere beyond a dream

he paints the sky a velvet amethyst

 

sailing above the rocks and sand

above the trembling ocean

 

A breath through my window…bathed in moonlight

 

Whispering…

“Wake my sweet angel”

 

And I awaken,

for his voice is the blue bird song

in a music box of beautiful memories

 

a lullaby

to soothe my soul

the poetry

within two hearts forever intertwined

 

I take this hand that holds my heart

for it is warm and it is strong

and he is unforgettable

 

And for a moment in time

we paint the sky

I think that the true beauty of poetry is it's capability to make you feel emotions. this poem definitely captured that. the line about "velvet amethyst" was definitely amazing to me. Keep writing! Stay awesome!
