Breathtaking, really...A Poem by MsJewel~ # 2 in a series of poems by Trace and myself featuring the art of Fabian Perez in a man's and woman's perspective of the scene ~art ~ Fabian Perez
~~~ He placed it next to her wine glass a perfect rose long stem, red velvet petals lovely breathtaking, really… As were his eyes and his smile and the cute tremble in his voice when he asked “may I have this dance?” Her heart fluttered as he wrapped an arm around her waist his eyes capturing hers holding her tight toe to toe hip to hip Her breath quickened and her knees felt weak as the music filled the room She could feel the blush covering her neck, warming her cheeks (it must be the wine…) She closed her eyes, her head on his shoulder her hand finding the curve of his strong back Hmmm…he smelled like Sunday morning… soft kisses tangled in linen sheets They moved as one the dance floor their own on a night just for two to a song she will always remember with a man…..her eyes flew open …whose name she didn’t know She closed her eyes again her face nestled against his neck content in the curve of his arm perfect like a long stemmed red rose or a Sunday morning breathtaking, really…. And so... they danced ~~~ © 2014 MsJewelAuthor's Note
