Still

Still

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ another little love scribble ~

"

art ~ Carrie Graber

If time could still…

…I think it could

for the day is quite still

nights are even quieter

still

being alone

doesn’t mean I’m lonely

it just means

I’d prefer to be with you

still

I like the logic of your words. Many kinds of loneliness. Sometime being alone is needed and sometime we are waiting. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

"being alone doesn't mean I'm lonely"... we are never really alone, just perhaps without someone to share the closeness of a special love.. and this is not always forever... I felt your poem Julie, you have expressed it wonderfully... ~~redzone

I knew you would understand this one Trace. Hugs, Julie
i agree with coyote...the logic is right on...when i have been in between relationships...i have been alone but never feel lonely...and now i have that similar feeling in my long distance relationship...

but i only want one person...so i just bide time between visits.

could relate well to this exquisite short write.
