A Whisper

A Whisper

A Poem by MsJewel

~ a little scribble ~

Gently adrift upon a breeze

a whisper…

                  soft

                          …a soul at ease

Fair skies awake around your love

I reach for you and up above...

Rainbows shimmer in love lit skies

painting the blue of teary eyes

as sunbeams weave a golden thread

and flowers lift their sleepy heads

to find the clouds are puffs of lace

Beauty lines a tender face

As much as I wish you were here

when days turn cold,

                             when winter nears

I will find warmth in memories

that somehow keep you near to me

For when tears pass, although they stain

the beauty found is what remains

           forever etched upon my heart

when rainbows shine and clouds depart

And sometimes just the lightest sigh

a whisper…

                  soft

                         …fluttering by

can take me back to days of spring

                                   My angel on gossamer wing?

Your poems have that dreamlike quality that always have me charmed. I can't remember how many times I've told you that but well, I'm running out of good words to describe your writing style... :)

I like how the seasons make us wonder to the good days. We hope for the rebirth of love with the coming of the warm days of Spring. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you my sweet friend :) Julie
A surprisingly beautiful poem, which floats ethereal just like the title, a whisper. I really like the way you format this poem, it is something I seem to have very little skill at. I would have never even considered splitting lines up with ... soft ... like you did here. It has a great effect, lingering on the mind. I love your last line, especially since you carried on that lingering effect by making it a question. You have a real knack for the art of poetry beyond the average writer; humbling really...

this is a well composed poem, i enjoyed reading it and going through each line over again. very beautiful poem, well done.it also has that dreamy feel that's signature to most of your work and that just carries you into another world and just lifts you off the ground so to speak, the words just carry you off and you drift into a different place with the poem.

Made me a bit misty eye'd, soft whispering to someone with gossamer wings fluttering by. Sigh, it's lovely and you've touched my heart Julie, as always, but this one was extra special. x
