The Flowers in the Window Box

The Flowers in the Window Box

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ for Lydi ~

"

art ~ Vicente Romero

The flowers in the window box are blooming

Bright smiles beckon as if they were to say

the sound of raindrops you hear resuming

are timeless traces of another day

And in the past when a lonely raindrop

left a chill upon dreams, the window pane

was cold and damp but now the rain has stopped

It’s time to dry the teardrops that remain

Though vision blurs there’s still unseen beauty

gentle in it’s embrace, much like sunbeams

weaving soft rays of light, so you can see

the colors of a rainbow paint your dreams

There won’t be rain today or tomorrow

for blooming in the window box…a flower

You've painted this picture with softly colored rainbows and striking hues of sunbeams Julie, a sweet breath of fresh air from your pen. Luverly, as always my friend. :-)

"there’s still unseen beauty gentle in it’s embrace" - wonderful line. It like a soft plushy verbal pillow, beautiful.

The Lady can write sonnets....just a lovely write. We are in the middle of the ice age here and this poem just makes it all melt. Admire your style and your heart in which you write, Julie.
