Sunsets of Me and You

Sunsets of Me and You

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic little scribble ~

"

art ~ razmov konstantin

The beauty

of your kiss

lingers

as warm, as sweet

as a sunset

weaving the sky with ribbons of crimson red passion

            tied softly around my heart…

Your lips

compose beautiful ballads

to paint the sky

as the moon waits

for starlight’s dance

and the breeze whispers of love

                 your love

Gather this breeze, love

gather me

until skies ignite

and I surrender

to one more kiss…

        content

sharing sunsets of me and you

I love your poetry, Julie, it is entrancing and always leaves me smiling. It's hard to decide which lines to quote, but the ones that struck me first were:

as warm, as sweet
as a sunset
weaving the sky with ribbons of crimson red passion
tied softly around my heart…

So very beautiful . . .

You're welcome, Julie!
Amazing. I love this poem a lot.
The way or I must say the theme used to express love is excellent.
It is an artistic way of expressing your feelings.

Thank you for your very kind comments. I look forward to reading your poetry :) Julie
You always bring an idyllic feel to your writing...your romantic works are innocent but assertive as well, like fairy tales for an older audience. Great work Julie :)

Thank you! :) Julie
My heart melts at the romance of this poem. To chose a line would be catastrophically wrong when the entirety is so powerfully given.
