~ it has been a windy winter in Southern California ~

The sun has set on another year

of jeweled fantasies and sandcastle fairytales

and ocean breezes scented with calla lilies

dancing under cotton candy clouds, colored with hope…

 

While I sailed away on moonbeam kissed waves and poetic rhymes that romanced my dreams and etched my heart…this tender tide

 

leaving a smile…

 

perhaps a bit wistful,

but a smile nevertheless

as I soar with the seabirds

on winds of change

 

I wonder…

 

If given the chance

could it all stay the same?

 

But I would not ask

for the sun has set on another year

Wow, I quite like reflecting back on the year before it ends; reminding myself of what's happened and all. I've met so many amazing people this year (now last year) and been through the war and back and I'm still fighting, strong. I am excited for this year and cannot wait to turn 17, lol, random I know. :-P
