There are no footsteps left

only mine

            wandering through memories

 

wondering why

after five years

                       three days

                                      and nine hours

                      the flowers still bloom without you…

I really like the way you describe the point where a person is faced with something as simple as life going on without another and how we emotionally deny this fact in some part. We want our feelings that the world would end without that someone to be true, because of the pain the separation causes and the lasting impressions or, "heart prints" that it makes upon us. Excellent job. The separation and staggering of the lines ads to its dramatic effect.
