I adore this piece. I think almost anyone can relate to this...
"And when she spreads her hair upon his pillow
is it foolish to think...
he should think of me?"- The sad tones of wistful longing really came through. Probably my favorite piece from you so far...

Thank you Diana. I hope you're enjoying a beautiful weekend. :) Julie
Striking poem, as any woman that has been left wondering has had this question rumbling in her heart and mind for ages after. Softly written, but with a strong undercurrent carrying a strong message. Loved it!

Thank you again for your lovely comment. Have a beautiful evening :) Julie
The voice of the poem is imagining, which in turn courts the reader's imagination. When a romance feels this good, you wish it would never end, possibly out of the fear that you'll never rekindle that feeling again. You've crystallized that moment gorgeously here. Well done Julie :)
I have been here before...more times than I care to remember, I think. You have described perfectly, and with beautiful imagery, the inner workings of the "lost lover's" mind. I have often wondered if my past loves think of me, and I have also wondered if my musings are foolish or not...this was very relatable. Beautifully written.

Thank you for your wonderful comment Sarah. :) Julie
Um..I don't know if it is or not, but the way you pose the question makes this scenario seem so real and it also it speaks so universally. The fact that we are all blinded by love and our lovers, even when things are coming to an end maybe is so sad, but captured so well here.
"is it foolish" since this lovely poem ends and begins with this haunting question, makes it a refrain,
almost musical; and yes I can imaging this as a song, a progressive country song, where the lyrics
are as sumptuous as these and asks similar transcendent questions. (those questions extending beyond the limits
of ordinary 'good-answer' experiences).
I love this poem.
