Fairy in a Dead Tree

a little fantasy

Leave her alone

Let her be

This fairy in a dead tree

 

To you she may be fast asleep

but in her dreams she may keep

the memory of a true love

of pale moonbeams where far above

the warmest light in graceful dance

weaves the night with romance

A lover’s kiss, a soft heartbeat

of someone who is warm and sweet

and she is wrapped in his embrace

as silver stars on wings of lace

are painting skies with poetry

above the greenest willow tree

and here his kiss has gently stirred

the melody of a songbird

perched on a branch way, way up high…

 

Did you know fairies can fly?

 

Perhaps it is only in dreams

the flight, the kiss, the bright moonbeams….

 

So leave her alone

Let her be

What a unique title, I love titles that grab you right off the bat, I had to check if this was from your pen Julie, 'dead tree' huh? ;-) Anyway, I digress, this is a lovely little fantasy, we're all fairies in our own little world of dead trees, there we can fly high above the clouds where all the joy is...great one my friend!
