The Lightest Touch

The Lightest Touch

A Poem by MsJewel
"

"good morning"

"

photograph compliments of myopera

~~~
The lightest touch
 awakens the breaking dawn
ruffling the curtains of my imagination
opening the windows of my soul
to all that’s new
and I am a peach bloom rising
on a pastel breeze through painted skies
dew kissed and dressed in butterfly wings
and sunshine smiles
awaken day
awaken me...
with poetry
~~~

'The lightest touch'
Ms.Jewel,
The really enjoyed the use of color and
nuances which hint of the soul being stirred.
"Ruffling the curtains of my imagination.'
That's how it works, right? Something brings an idea and then it grows until described and you did that . Lovely!
Bless you today.

Good Morning! Thank you for you wonderful review of my poem! :) Julie
I used to live in a house with a back yard that I shared with the upstairs neighbors... we had a table and chairs and it was great to get up just before dawn and sit there with coffee in hand and wake to a new day... often I would take pen and paper and write down thoughts that would become poems; not as beautiful and "peach tasty" as your poem is, but it was a good way to start the day... I really loved your intro: "The lightest touch/awakens the breaking dawn". I think only someone who has sat and watched the sun come up really know this feeling, its "light touch"... I appreciate your writing this Julie, its just.... so deliciously "light"... ;o) be well Julie, ~~redzone
