most think of daisies they think of the old "she loves me, she loves me not.." of petals telling the joy or pain of love... but Julie, I like this version much better... of "unruffled petals" of "laughing with the birds and butterflies
still dancing
because you love me"...
have you ever walked and came upon a field of daisies??? wild flowers, everywhere and then couldn't resist the urge to just stop in the middle of them and lay down looking up at a cloudless blue sky. your poem took me back to that day... Thanks Julie, for the poem , but also for the memory.. ~~redezone

There were fields of daisies and wildflowers everywhere - such beautiful memories. I'm glad my poem brought wonderful memories back for you too! :) Julie
'Dancing with Daisies'
MsJewel,
'Just the thing' it is to know someone out in the world loves us. This can sometimes be the deciding factor to get a person over ruts of this life. I like the use of words like, "and the breeze holds the memory of a softer time." That is what I think of with summer. It is gentle, not brittle, harsh. Yes love brings us to a place of "Still dancing....because you love me." Thanks for the reminder to be thankful for such a blessing.

Ahh Julie, another soft and tender poem. Your words are like a salve to the mind and soul. A poem filled with the glory of being loved.
Your imagery is truly stunning, your last four lines breathtaking.
