Under a Tangerine Sky

Under a Tangerine Sky

A Poem by MsJewel
"

a little romantic fantasy..

"

art ~ Ray Leaning

~~~
When the tide returns to sea
and the warmth of the sun
paints tiny ribbons of orange and gold across the sky
I wake to find you
A kiss on my pillow
under a tangerine sky
and I smile with delight…for I had dreamt of us
Sailing on a sea of fantasy
rising with the tide,
falling upon the silken shore
your touch as soft as the sand beneath us
your breath as warm on my neck
as the dawn
awakening your sleepy eyes
…as the tide rises once more
~~~

Can I say Julie, "I rest me case"... too late already did.. yep, Julie is a "romantic poet"... its not just the words (though they reveal so much), but the underlying warmth and desire, that "smile of delight" and the longing seeping into creaves we only have hoped for in finding love.. and the last few lines: "your touch as soft as the sand beneath us/your breath as warm on my neck/as the dawn/
awakening your sleepy eyes/…as the tide rises once more" they just left me with a smile... wonderful poem Julie... ~~redzone

'Under a Tangerine Sky'
MsJewel,
Let imagination be our strength. Let romance keep us alive. Let love be our banner. Your poem brought these things to my mind. To look at life and be aware and thankful is so lovely. Sweet phrase you shared:
"Sailing on a sea of fantasy
The title: "Under a Tangerine Sky" is one of life and passion.
Love this.
Blessings,
Kathy

This is one of my favorite poems of yours. I love the picture you paint with the soft brush of your words. Trace

Enchanting, the melodic music of the ocean softly lapping the sand, a salt air breeze whispering beneath sunrise skies...romance is alive and blooming from your pen my friend. Very beautifully written and presented.

A deep and warm blending, of all the hues of "together" ....

I Love that time.. when the sunset looks likes ribbons ..

Beautifully soft .. well done ..
