As you/leave me/to breakA Poem by Julianna Marie
The world is so beautiful when its quiet,
see it there, in the lingered graze of your fingertips. At finger’s edge, you’re limitless. And the beauty there, can you see it? Framed by destruction and chaos, dumpsters overflowing and broken people falling over broken legs and broken hearts" Can you see it? You can only live with your eyes closed for a matter of time, and it’s so easy and you’re so easy to be around, and we would’ve had things so easy, Can you see the beauty there? (As you leave me to break.) We were in love once, but I can’t predict the future. The world is so beautiful when it’s quiet, but your closed lips bring wretched tears of ugliness to my forgotten face, and they trace their ways down in dead-end roads to my finger’s edge, where I could’ve held the world; where I could’ve held you" Standing at my heart’s edge, you’re limitless, Can you see the beauty there? We were in love once, framed by destruction and chaos; broken people falling over broken legs and broken hearts" We were in love. © 2011 Julianna MarieAuthor's Note
